Cultivation Notes: Sow indoors Feb-April a half centimeter (a quarter inch) deep, transplant May 20cm (8") apart. Remove flowers to prolong picking. Cut leaves as required and whole plants as flowering begins for use fresh, dried or for distillation.

General: Everlasting. Pot pourri. The above ground parts will dye wool a reddish colour with alum as mordant.
Garden Use: Companions - cabbage, cauliflower, cucumber.
Culinary Use: Use flowers in salads, leaves in Italian, Spanish, Mexican food, with veal, lamb, goulash, stew, sauces, soups.
Medical Use: Use a tea made from leaves and flowering tops internally for colds, flu, painful periods and stomach complaints and externally for arthritis and muscle pain. Not suitable for pregnant women. Use the essential oil in treatments for lice, and in aromatherapy for asthma and bronchitis.
